Popular choreographer Shiva Shankar master succumbs to Covid-19

KARIMNAGAR: Popular choreographer Shiva Shankar master, who was battling for life after being affected by the deadly Covid-10 virus, succumbed to the disease on Sunday night at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

He was survived with his wife and two sons. The 72-year-old dance master had won several awards including national award for his song composition “Dheera Dheera” in Ram Charan starrer Magadheera film directed by SS Rajamouli. He had also participated in several dance shows and reality shows as judge. He also acted in several movies.
It may be recalled that Mr Shiva Shankar was hospitalised few days ago after getting contracted with the deadly virus. His lungs were infected more than 75 per cent. His wife and elder son were also affected by the virus. His wife Suganya is in home quarantine and son undergoing treatment in the same hospital where he succumbed to the virus.
Following the reports about the popular dance director facing financial crisis, the film celebrities such as Chiranjeevi, Dhanush, Sonu Sood and others came forward and extended financial assistance for the treatment of Shiva Shankar and his family members. He had choreographed several songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindu and other languages.
