Upcoming Kalabharathi to be named after Padmasri Bhashyam Vijaya Sarathi: Gangula Kamalakar

KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Civil Supplies and BC Welfare Gangula Kamalakar has said that they had decided to rename the upcoming ‘Amrutha Varshini’ (Kalabharathi) as Padmasri Bhashyam Vijaya Sarathi Kala Vedika at SRR college grounds in Karimnagar town.

Participating at a condolence meeting of Padmasri Bhashyam Vijaya Sarathi at Sri Yagna Varaha Swamy temple in Bommakal on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday (January 22, 2023), the Minister said that they would also install the statue of Bhashyam at the Kala vedika. Reminding that Bhashyam was the founder trustee of the Yagna Varaha Swamy temple, he said that they would name the road leading to the temple as Bashyam Vijaya Sarathi road.

He said that Bashyam Vijaya Sarathi’s death was a serious loss to him and his family members. His death is a great loss to the district and the Telangana state in particular, he said and added that he had not taken up any work without discussing with Vijaya Sarathi. He also reminded that he would file his election nominations only after taking the consent of Mr Sarathi, he pointed out.

Recollecting his association with Bashyam Vijaya Sarathi, TS Planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar said that he raised his voice in the parliament demanding the government for setting up of an exclusive Sanskrit University in the country. Mayor Y Sunil Rao, SUDA chairman GV Ramakrishna Rao, former MLC N Laxman Rao, Deputy Mayor Challa Swaroopa Rani, BRS town Challa Harishankar, municipal corporators and others were also present.
