Telangana to host 82nd Indian History Congress at Kakatiya University from December 28 to 30

WARANGAL, OCTOBER 13, 2023: The 82nd edition of the Indian History Congress (IHC) will be held from December 28 to 30, 2023, at the Kakatiya University, Warangal, and Telangana state.

At a preparatory meeting with the university officials on Friday, KU Vice Chancellor Prof Tatikonda Ramesh informed the officials to take all necessary measures to make the event a grand success. Stating that more than 2,000 representatives from the country would attend the prestigious Indian History Congress, he said that IHC was founded in 1935, and is the largest association of professional historians in South Asia. It has over 35,000 members, of whom over 2,200 delegates participate in this session. The 81st session was conducted by Madras Christian College (MCC) in Chennai in December 2022.

The VC informed the officials to make it a mega event and take all measures to avoid any untoward incident to the delegates visiting from various parts of the country. Registrar Srinivasa Rao, local IHC secretary T Manohar and others were also present.
