SU NSS volunteers win accolades at NIC in Chattisgarh

KARIMNAGAR:  Satavahana University Vice Chancellor Vice Chancellor S Mallesham congratulated the National Service Scheme volunteers of various colleges under its jurisdiction for participating in the National Integration Camp (NIC) and winning accolades for their colourful presentation of Telangana culture and traditions in a dance form.

It may be recalled that among all the Universities in the Telangana state, only Satavahana University NSS volunteers were selected to participate in the NIC camp at Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur in Chattisgarh state from May 21 to 27, 2022. The NSS volunteers K Rajeshwari, S Deepika, Huda Samreen, Akula Siri, D Sindhuja, Ch Achyuth, R Jayaprakash, Saibaj, G Dayakar, A Vamshi, and NSS Programme Officer B Suresh from Government degree college for women in Karimnagar, SRR government arts and science college in Karimnagar, Vivekananda degree and PG college, Karimnagar, Government Degree college, Agraharam, Sircilla have participated in the camp and won accolades.

One volunteer Huda Samreen secured second prize in the elocution competition on ‘Ek Bharath Shrest Bharath’ topic. All other NSS volunteers had presented colourful cultural programmes of the Telangana state culture, tradition and literature. In this regard, the Regional  Directorate of NSS Chhattisgarh and Bhopal congratulated all the volunteers of Satavahana University.

The Satavahana University VC distributed the appreciation certificates to volunteers and appreciated their efforts in exhibiting their skills at the NIC.  Registrar Dr M Varaprasad, NSS Programme Coordinator Dr K Srivani, NSS office staff Srinu Kuthadi and others were also present.
