Students told to ignite passion for patriotism
WARANGAL: Social activist and National Youth Awardee Mohammad Azam has called upon the student community to ignite the passion for patriotism and nationalism.
As part of the Azadi ka amrut mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga programme organized on the Kakatiya university campus in Warangal on Monday (August 8), Mr Azam sensitized the students about the importance of patriotic spirit among the student community. Educating about the importance of freedom struggle by the freedom fighters and their supreme sacrifices for the liberation of the country from the clutches of Britishers, he said that the Diamond jubilee celebrations of Indian Independence was aimed to educate the people of the country about the importance of National flag.
Expressing concern over declining moral values among the student community, he called upon the parents to play a responsible role in bringing up children as responsible future citizens of the country. Kakatiya University Research Students Association vice presidents Dr Vanga Mallesh Goud and Dr Rakesh, students Harish, Ramesh, Manohar, Ravi, Anil and others participated in this programme.
