Students of Pallavi Model School drench in patriotic fervour as part of National Unity day
Present cultural forms of various states and their traditional delicacies and captivate the visitors
PEDDAPALLI, OCTOBER 31, 2023: Students of Pallavi Model School, Rangampalli on the outskirts of Peddapalli town drenched in patriotic fervour and depicting the unity in diversity by presenting various forms of cultural programmes of the country as part of the National Unity Day to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of the independent India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Tuesday.
On this occasion, the students presented cultural forms of 29 states of the country and captivated the audience. Incidentally, the teaching faculty members also joined the students groups in presenting the cultural forms of various states with enthusiasm. The students presented an exhibition of all the 29 states traditional food items to awaken the taste buds. Incidentally, they displayed the different states food items by donning the respective states traditional dresses.
They displayed Misal Pav of Maharashtra, Dhokla of Gujarat, Rogan Josh of Kashmir, Pongal from Tamil Nadu, Papaya Khar from Assam, Litti Chokha from Bihar, Dhaam from Himachal Pradesh, Pootha Rekulu from Andhra Pradesh, Sarvapindi from Telangana and more.
DMHO Dr Pramod Kumar participated as chief guest and visited and every stall set up by the students and congratulated the students for their gracious presentation of various cultural, food and traditional forms of the country depicting the unity in diversity. The parents also attended in large numbers and tasted the delicious food of different states served by the students.
School Correspondent Shobha Rani, while telling about the historical relevance of the day, said: “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is also known as the Iron Man in the history of India, was a man of peace and a person with farsightedness. He not only struggled hard for the independence of the nation but also put forth great efforts for the rehabilitation of refugees. That’s why we are celebrating his birth anniversary as National Unity Day”.
