State-level chess competitions conclude at JITS in Karimnagar
KARIMNAGAR: The two-day Telangana state-level Chess competitions conducted by the Jyothishmathi institute of technology and sciences (JITS) as part of its silver jubilee celebrations concluded on Saturday evening (September 3, 2022) on a grand scale.
A record number of more than 350 students from 45 schools, and junior and degree colleges have participated in the competitions. On this occasion, the JITS management distributed cash prizes worth Rs 25,000 and 75 trophies to the winners in various categories.
JITS principal Dr PK Vaishali distributed the prizes and trophies to the winners and congratulated them. JITS chairman J Sagar Rao and secretary J Sumith Sai congratulated the winners. Tournament coordinators Vishwaprakash Babu, R Venkateshwar Rao, Genius Chess academy directors Kankati Kanakaiah and Anoop and others were also present.
