St George Nino’s block (CBSE) celebrates Grandparents day
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 18, 2023: St George Nino’s Block (CBSE) at Rekurthy in Karimnagar town celebrated Grandparents day with lots of pomp and gaiety on Saturday.
The day began with a warm and festive atmosphere. The school premise was adorned with colourful decorations, and students had prepared a special welcome ceremony for their grandparents. It was heart-warming to see the joy and anticipation in the eyes of both the students and their grandparents.
A traditional “tilak” ceremony was held to honour grandparents and they were briefed about the day-to-day learning of their grandchildren by the school staff. A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students for the entertainment of their grandparents.
The school management organised fun games for the grandparents amid cheers from their grandchildren. The children looked very happy playing with their grandparents in the school itself.
Chairman of St George CBSE and Paradise high schools Dr P Fathima Reddy inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp. He thanked the grandparents for attending in large numbers and making the event a grand success and keeping their grandchildren happy and giving sweet memories. Incharge Sangeetha and others were also present.
