SRR college students take up survey on impact of Covid-19 on MSME units

KARIMNAGAR: Students of the Commerce Department from the SRR government Arts and Science college in Karimnagar town made a field visit to various institutions to study the impact of “Pandemic Covid-19 on the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) in Karimnagar district.

Accordingly, the students’ team led by Commerce department assistant professor Dr M Malla Reddy visited various institutions and firms in the district to study the impact of Covid on the employment, supply of raw material, marketing facilities, financial problems, awareness on Athma Nirbhar Bharath Abhiyaan and other issues etc.

The students’ team comprising of A Srividya, V Kavya, R Bharath, M Srikar, D Vinay Kumar and others participated in the survey as part of their presentation of project report for the final semester examinations.  The students prepared a questionnaire comprising of open-ended and close-ended questions and collected feedback from various entrepreneurs and small scale industries.

They had also collected suggestions from the participants about the measures to improve and regain the past glory to the MSME and other industries. The students would analyse the survey report and prepare a project report and submit it to the college. Principal K Ramakrishna, vice principal Himabindhu, Commerce head of department V Bikshapathi, faculty members K Surender Reddy, Adepu Srinivas, K Laxminarasaiah, A Satish, A Prasad, A Narayana and others have appreciated the students for their survey on the current burning topic among the entrepreneurs of the MSMEs in the district.
