NTPC Ramagundam trains youth in CIPET Hyderabad and helps them secure employment
PEDDAPALLI, AUGUST 24, 2023: As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, NTPC Ramagundam successfully completed six months training programme for the underprivileged youth of the project affected villages of NTPC Ramagundam through CIPET Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu, Chief General Manager (Ramagundam & Telangana) said that besides its core area of electricity generation, NTPC is focusing on developing skills for employability of underprivileged and unemployed youth in the nearby villages of NTPC, Ramagundam. He was addressing the valedictory function of ‘Machine Operator Assistant–Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding’ programme held at Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The CGM further said that NTPC would extend necessary support for training to the deserving youth enabling them to find suitable employment. He advised the MOAIM and MOABM pass-out youth to use their learning which are in high-demand in some strategic industries and make a career out of it. The CGM along with other officials distributed certificates to the 40-injection moulding pass-out youth, who have completed their training. All the injection moulding and blow moulding pass-out candidates got placements in different organisations.
Mr Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, Additional General Manager (HR) Ramagundam, NTPC, asked the youth to enhance their skills. There was a gap between what the industries required and the education the youth had as there was huge demand for skilled manpower. Youths acquiring specialised skill like machine operator assistant–injection moulding have a bright future. Officials of CIPET Hyderabad and NTPC-Ramagundam were present on the occasion.
