NSS volunteers of SRR college clean up roads and streets in villages

KARIMNAGAR: National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Unit-III of SRR government Arts and Science college in Karimnagar, on the fourth day of their camp at Velichala, Guddelgulapalli, Kistaraopalli and Durgammagadda have participated in the Swachch Bharath campaign by cleaning and disposing of garbage strewn around in the villages on Monday.
Led by NSS programme officers A Narayana, DD Naidu, Dr V Varaprasad and B Suresh Kumar, the NSS volunteers began their day by meditating and practising yoga. Later, they participated in the shramdhan (voluntary labour) of cleaning the roads and streets in the villages. They also painted the trees located in various parks and streets and gave a face-lift to the streets.
In the afternoon session, Sahithi Gowthami district president Gajula Ravinder and government teacher K Anantha Chary had empowered the students about the importance of NSS camps. College principal K Ramakrishna was also present.
