NSS volunteers from SU excelling at an Adventure camp in Himachal Pradesh

KARIMNAGAR: National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Satavahana University were actively participating in the National Adventure camp-2022, which is being held at the Atal Behari Vajpayee Institute of volunteering and sports, Narkanda centre, Himachal Pradesh scheduled from November 15 onwards.
On the fourth day of the camp, the NSS volunteers participate in the trekking amid chilling weather conditions. So far, the volunteers were trained in different types of rope knot-making techniques, rope using, rappelling down the rocks and river crossing. They were also attending orientation classes on safety measures while participating in the adventure camp. Trainer Nischay was providing all the training and guidance to the volunteers. The camp would conclude on November 24.
The volunteers were selected on the basis of their physical fitness, interest in sports and camping experience. The camp aimed to expose the participants to mountaineering, trekking techniques, the erection of tents during camps, mountain hazards etc.
