National Youth Awardee donates books from his prize money to KGBV school in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: Environmentalist, social activist and national youth awardee Mohammed Azam has donated Rs 5,000 worth of motivational and English grammar books for the benefit of students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Sapthagiri colony in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
On the occasion of Children’s day celebrations on Sunday, Mr Azam empowered the girl students about the importance of reading books and improving their communication skills in their chosen career. He had donated the books covering the topics of Personality development and English grammar books.
Mr Azam, who had recently National youth award from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and a cash award of Rs 50,000, had decided to spend some part of the amount for the benefit of society. Accordingly, he purchased books worth Rs 5,000 and donated the same to the students of KGBV.
KGBV special officer D Srilatha thanked the noble gesture of Mr Azam for donating books from his National Youth award prize money. After receiving the books, the students Rachana, Rakshita, Ramya, Geethanjali, Harini, Shruthi were excited and extended their gratitude to the charity work done by Mr Azam and they promised that they would read the books and improve their skills to become successful in their lives. The KGBV staff Uma Bharathi, Shravani, Shailaja, Aravinda and others were present in this programme.
