TRSMA also urges govt to extend academic year till May 30

 

HYDERABAD:  Minister for Education P Sabitha Indra Reddy has assured to take all measures for the reopening of the schools and colleges from January 31 onwards tentatively.

She gave this assurance to the TRSMA (Telangana recognised schools management association) who submitted a memorandum appealing her to reopen the schools from January 31. The Minister said that she took the matter to notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who also assured to reopen the schools from January 31 tentatively. It may be recalled that the government had extended the Sankranthi holidays from January 16 to January 30 following the spread of the deadly virus.

The TRSMA had also urged the government to extend the academic year till May 30, 2022. As against the conduct of 220 physical classes, so far they could conduct only 85 physical classes to the students, they said and urged the government to extend the academic year. The Minister positively responded to this suggestion also.  TRSMA state president Yadagiri Shekhar Rao, state general secretary Sadula Madhusudhan, treasurer IV Ramana Rao, Medchal president Shivarathri Yadagiri, Ranga Reddy president Bheerappa, state advisor Surabhi Ravinder Rao and others were also present.
