Medical camps organised in villages by NSS volunteers of women’s college

KARIMNAGAR:  As part of the ongoing winter special camp organised by the NSS volunteers of the government women’s degree college in Karimnagar, the volunteers in association with the private hospitals had organised a free medical camps in Mahatmanagar, Ramakrishna colony and Nusthullapur villages of Thimmapur mandal on Thursday, the fourth of the special camp.

Doctors from Divya hospital and Maxvision eye hospital had conducted the camp for the benefit of the villagers as well as the students in the villages. Manakondur legislator Rasamayi Balakishan had also visited the camp and appreciated the NSS volunteers for their social service programmes in the rural areas.

National youth awardee and folk artist Konda Ravi had educated the students about the importance of service to mankind. He also taught them the rural language and also sung folk songs for the motivate the students in their mission to serve people.

A total of 120 NSS volunteers were relentlessly working in the villages as part of their winter special camp under the supervision of the NSS programme officers Tuniki Lavanya, Markonda Shakuntala and Donthula Sujatha.  State IFFCO state director Kethireddy Devender Reddy, sarpanches of three villages Jakkani Srivani Ravinder, Meesala Anjaiah and Ravula Ramesh and others also encouraged the students for their noble services.
