JITS, the first engineering college of integrated Karimnagar district, celebrating its silver jubilee from November 17 onwards
All EAMCET rank holders to get merit scholarships
KARIMNAGAR: The Jyothismathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), the first engineering college of the integrated Karimnagar district established on November 17, 1997, which would be celebrating its silver jubilee celebrations from November 17, 2021, has announced merit scholarships to all the engineering students for the batch of 2021-2022 academic year till the completion of four-year courses.
The only engineering in Karimnagar district to secure NAAC ‘A’ grade and more than nine gold medals from the JNTU, Hyderabad, would be providing merit scholarships to the students who secured admission into the JITS. All the students, who secured less than 20,000 ranks in the EAMCET-2021 would get scholarships of Rs 30,000 per annum.
The students who secured EAMCET ranks between 20,001 to 80,000 would get Rs 25,000 per annum as a merit scholarship. The students eligible for partial fee reimbursement are also eligible for merit scholarships. However, the merit scholarship is not applicable to the students who are eligible for full fee reimbursement from the state government.
The JITS is offering B Tech courses in CSE (AI-ML), CSE, Civil, ECE, EEE and mechanical engineering. The merit scholarship is applicable to all the B Tech courses of the college from the academic year 2021-2022 for a period of four years. The students would be securing the scholarships till the completion of their course and every year the merit scholarship would be distributed on the JITS foundation day on November 17.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao said that they had started engineering in Karimnagr town in the year 1997 to provide quality education to the students on par with the Hyderabad engineering colleges and they were also successful in their mission by helping several hundreds of students secure employment within the country and abroad.
He said that they had announced the merit scholarships to the students from this academic year onwards as a token of gesture on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations of the college. He also said that they had planned a series of programmes throughout the year including workshops, seminars and other extra-curricular activities for the benefit of students.
