Govt schools models sweep INSPIRE awards and selected to state-level competitions

KARIMNAGAR: For the first time, the majority of the science models designed by the students of various government schools in the Karimnagar have been selected for the INSPIRE and MANAK state-level exhibition and project competitions.

Among the 22 models selected for the state-level competitions, 18 models belonged to the government schools and only four models were from private educational institutions.

In order to showcase the scientific temper of the student community, the education department was organising Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) and Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge (MANAK) Science exhibitions. Following the pandemic virus, the authorities have conducted the competitions in a virtual mode on December 9.

Among the total of 219 models, the jury members comprising of National Innovation Foundation, SCERT and others selected 22 models for the INSPIRE MANAK state-level exhibition, which would also be on a virtual mode tentatively from December 28 to 30.

Peddi Rayudu (TSMS Rukmapur) Model of tensegrity, Bhakthu Greeshma (KGBV Rukmapur) remote operated toilet bed for patients, Pavurala Rohith Kumar (TSMS Shankarpatnam) Permeable roads, Pikkala Ajay (ZPHS Korkal) Make in India eco-friendly fridge, Gorityala Anvitha (KGBV Manakondur) Plant diseases detection controller, Nandam Vivek (ZPHS Durshed) Wireless Monitor, Marri Mathumitha (ZPHS Veldhi) Social distancing reminder alarm, Bandi Srilekha (ZPHS Jangapally)  Covid-19 Smart Watch, Gajjela Kavya (ZPHS Deshrajpalli) Women safety patrolling robot, Bathini Mounika (ZPHS Nagunuru) Earthen pot vaporizer for steam inhalation and Bollam Hamsa (KGBV Sapthagiri colony) Fencing unit and alarm for animal entry prevention.

The models of private school students include; P Amulya (Alphores high school Vavilalapalli) Mobile detection system, Yadabettu Sunukha Bhatta (IRIS world school Alugunur) Dry land seeder, Sandineni Srikar (Paramita learners foundation Karimnagar) Malautobot- the multifunctional one and Samra Shaszeen (Bhagavathi high school Karimnagar) Spectacles and oxygen mask.
