Govt school students excel at state-level Kalotsavams

KARIMNAGAR: In order to unravel the hidden talent among the student community, the district Samagra Shiksha authorities had conducted a four-day state-level Kalotsavam in Karimnagar town from November 23 to 26.
Competitions were conducted in various traditional classical dance and music, instrumental music, indigenous toys making and visual arts etc. In the classical dance section, Afreen from TS model school Manakondur bagged the prize, in vocal music classical, K Srikari and K Shurudh from Alphores high school Kothaplly bagged the prizes.
M Charnmai from KGBV Chigurumamidi and B Subhacharan from TS model school Gangadhara bagged the prizes in the traditional folk dance, Vaishanavi from TS model school Manakondur and Vishnuvardhan from ZPHS Kamanpur bagged the prizes in traditional folk vocal music.
In visual arts two-dimensional, D Ravali TSMS Mulkanoor and U Shivamani from TSMS Manakondur bagged prizes. M Chandana from ZPHS Chelpur bagged prize in instrumental music classical. In visual arts three-dimensional, K Vishnupriya and N Vikas from ZPHS Naganuru bagged the prizes.
K Ramcharan from ZPHS Odyaram bagged the prize for indigenous toy making and N Swetha from TSMS Chigurumamidi bagged prize in instrumental music in traditional folk. DEO Janardhan had congratulated the winners and appreciated the teachers for encouraging the students in extra-curricular activities.
