Govt degree colleges imparting quality education on par with corporate colleges: Navin Mittal

KARIMNAGAR: Nain Mittal, Commissioner, Collegiate Education and Technical Education, has said that the government degree colleges are not less than any corporate educational institutions in providing quality and value-based education to the future generation.

Mr Mittal was in Karimnagar town on Thursday to participate in various programmes including Satavahana University executive committee meeting and inspection of SRR government Arts and Science college and government women’s degree and PG in Karimnagar town. At SRR degree college, Mr Mittal participated in white-washing of the college building and plantation of a sapling and inauguration of a computer laboratory. The NCC cadets had accorded a traditional guard of honour.
Interacting with the students, the Collegiate Education Commissioner said that the government degree colleges were honing students’ skills on all fronts to excel in their careers and imparting values. Stating that the well-qualified teachers were imparting teaching to the students in government colleges, he said that there was a steady increase of admissions into the government degree colleges in the state.
He said that the government degree colleges were helping the students to turn employable after completion of their courses. Sanctioning 20 additional classrooms to the SRR college, he promised to provide adequate funds for the region’s development of ancient degree colleges.
Earlier, College principal K Ramakrishna made a PowerPoint presentation about the history and achievements of the college. Satavahana University Vice-Chancellor S Mallesham, Collector RV Karnan, Municipal Commissioner Valluru Kranthi and others were also present.
