GDC Jammikunta conducts training on ‘Campus to Corporate’ for students

KARIMNAGAR: The Telangana Skills and Knowledge Centre (TSKC) of Government Degree college in Jammikunta of Karimnagar district has inaugurated a two-day training programme on “Campus to Corporate Connect” for the benefit of students on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Academic Coordinator of the College Dr D Rajashekhar said that the training programme was aimed to train the students with soft skills which helps them transition smoothly into corporate life after securing job. “This session will help students on how to become efficient through learning the basics of corporate communication, managing time and the mind-set shift that is required when moving from a college to corporate environment”, he stated.

In her opening remarks, TSKC coordinator Dr B Suvarna said that the training would enhance the confidence levels of students and offers tools like goal setting, team work and stress management etc. Principal P D Sujatha spoke on the importance of career and employment. TASK resource person Satish enlightened the students on various aspects of corporate communications. Faculty members  Rammohan Rao, Mahender, Srinivas Reddy, TSKC Mentor Srikant and others were present.

    These kind of activities in govt colleges help the student community a lot and expose them to corporate sector.
