GDC Gambhiraopet celebrates Telangana formation day by paying tributes to martyrs
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JUNE 2, 2023: Government Degree and PG College, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna-Sircilla district, celebrated the Telangana state formation day by paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the statehood movement on Friday.
College principal Dr V Vijaya Lakshmi hoisted the national flag and offered floral tributes to the portrait of Telangana thalli and later remembered the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs for the cause of separate Telangana state. Incidentally, the GDC Gambhiraopet is the first KG to PG concept educational institution in entire Telangana state, the dream project of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal recollected the history of statehood movement since Independence and its achievement by the present BRS government through its political strategies. Stating that the Telangana state was making strides in all fields, she said the state government was ahead of others in IT and Pharma sectors.
Reminding the statements made by Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao who was informing the teachers to mould the careers of students, she called upon the faculty members to rededicate them to mentor the students in entrepreneurship skills, soft skills and help them become employable after completion of their education.
She also informed the teachers to unravel the creativity of the students and guide them to become the future of the nation and help them to play a responsible in nation-building. Vice Principal Dass and other faculty members were also present.
