Free breakfast in government schools from Dasara
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 15, 2023: Close on the heels of Tamil Nadu government launching free breakfast scheme for the government school students, the Telangana state government has also decided to implement the breakfast scheme to the students from the ensuing Dasara festival on October 24, 2023.
Accordingly, the government issued a GO MS no 27, dated September 15, 2023 instructing the Director of School Education department to submit a detailed project report for the implementation of free breakfast scheme to the government school students under the Chief Minister’s Breakfast scheme. The scheme was aimed to provide nutritional food to the school children and ensure that there was no drop out of students.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has deputed an official team to study the implementation of free breakfast scheme in Tamil Nadu state. Following the submission of their report, the CM had decided to implement the same in the government schools, including local bodies from Dasara festival onwards.
