Conference on entrepreneurship promotion conducted at GDC women
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 28, 2023: An entrepreneurship promotion conference was organised at Government Degree College for women in Karimnagar on Monday under the ‘Swavalambi Bharath Abhiyan’ Telangana state.
The programme was organised by Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Commerce Department of the College. Principal Dr T Sree Lakshm, Chartered Accountant Mukka Harish Babu, entrepreneurs Kaveri Ginning Mills Private limited MD Kakkirala Ramesh, Bhavani feeds MD Revuri Anjaneyulu, EDC coordinator T Lavanya and others participated in the programme.
The dignitaries empowered the students on micro, small and medium enterprises as well as small-scale industries and various government schemes and subsidies for setting up startups. The College principal called upon the students to turn into entrepreneurs and provide employment to the fellow students.
Explaining the success story of Kaveri ginning mills, its MD Ramesh said that they had started the industry with Rs 2,300 loan which had now crossed a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore and emerged as the top five ginning mills in the country. SBA district convenor G Chandramouli, faculty members Damodar Reddy, Ananthula Satish Kumar, B Rajani Devi, Swapna, Srinivas, Sateesh, Narender Singh, Sudhama and others were also present.
