Children paint their vision of an energy-efficient world at NTPC competitions

HYDERABAD: The Covid disruption could hardly dampen the spirit enthusiastic children as they participated in large numbers at the state level painting competition and paint their vision of an energy-efficient world.
The programme was conducted in adherence to the Covid protocol like using mask, sanitiser and maintaining social distancing, etc. Organised by the NTPC-Southern Region Headquarters, being the Nodal Agency for Telangana State, the painting competition is an initiative of the Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
In the first phase, held at NTPC office premises at Kavadiguda, Secunderabad on Saturday (December 04, 2021), the painting competition witnessed participation of students in large numbers from Telangana state except for Nizamabad, Adilabad and Nirmal districts. The aesthetic paintings not only depicted children’s creativity but also their vision of energy conservation. Befitting the occasion, NTPC officials presented the LED bulb and certificates to all the participants.
The Topics for State Level Painting are 1. Energy Efficient India, and 2. Cleaner Plant. The State Level Top 13 Winners in each group: Group-A (Class 5, 6 & 7) and Group-B (Class 8, 9 & 10) will be awarded in the second week of December 2021. Further, the state level winners’ paintings will be forwarded to Delhi for consideration at National Level Awards.
The last phase of State level painting competition will be held on December 06, 2021at Navya Bharathi Global School, Armoor Road, Nizamabad wherein students of Nizamabad, Adilabad and Nirmal Districts can participate.
