Certificate course in Printing and Dyeing concludes at GDC women

KARIMNGAR: A 15-day (30 hours) certificate course in Printing and Dyeing course offered by the Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC) cell and Commerce department of Government Degree college for women in Karimnagar town concluded on Thursday (May 19).
The course was designed to make students employable and take up self-employment opportunities and start ups. The training and exposure was provided by Bapuji yarn dyeing works in Karimnagar. The students were exposed to different concepts of traditional Indian textiles, types of dyes and prints. The students had also hands-on experience by visiting the yarn dyeing unit at Bapuji yarn works.
At a programme on Thursday, College Principal Dr T Srilakshmi handed over the certificates to the students. Bapuji Yarn works proprietor Laxminarayana, Manager Dr D Satish Kumar, EDC coordinator Dr T Lavanya, faculty members Shakuntala, Shoba Rani, Rajani Devi, Srinivas, Anusha, Swapna, Sadhana and others were also present.
