BSP chief demands removal of Dalitwada and Harijanawada from school name boards in Alampur segment
JOGULAMBAD-GADWAL: Former IPS officer and Bahujana Samaj Party Telangana State President Dr RS Praveen Kumar has expressed concern over the use of Dalitwada and Harijanawada as address of the government schools in various parts of Alampur assembly segment.
He said that several government schools in Alampur constituency have name boards of Dalit wada and Harijan wada as address even today. “Is is not segregation by the state by depressing and unlawful terminology, he questioned and stated the studying in those schools are not at all happy with the use of dalit wada and harijan wada on the school name boards.
He demanded that the government should immediately the names of Harijanwada and Dalitwada from the name boards of the ZPHS and government schools in Alampur assembly segment. He was participating in the Bahujana Rajyadhikara yatra, which entered 194th day in various villages of Manapur mandal on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Praveen Kumar said that the Alampur assembly segment was completely neglected by the rulers without any budgetary allocations and flayed the government for not even constructing drainages in the Alampur, Shantinagar and Ayija municipalities. In contrary, the Sircilla municipality represented by the Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao is making strides, he said and demanded the Minister to disclose details of allocation of funds to Sircilla municipality and Alampur municipality.
Expressing concern over non-availability of at least RTC buses for public transport in several villages, he said that majority of the villages do not have proper roads and they have not seen any double bedroom housing scheme. He said that the problems of Alampur people would be solved only if BSP is voted to power. BSP leaders Kesava Rao, Madhu Goud, Mahesh, Kanakam Babu, Suresh, Sunkanna and others were also present.
