Bathukamma celebrated with religious fervour at Blue Bells School
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 12, 2023: Students of Blue Bells High School, Hanumannagar, Karimnagar town, celebrated the Bathukamma festivities (festival of flowers) with religious fervour and gaiety on their school campus on Thursday.
The school was colourfully decorated with marigold flower garlands and mango leaves and placed colourful rangolies on the floor. Later, the students were taught the making of Bathukamma by arranging the different varieties of flowers in a conical shape.
School principal Janga Sunita Manohar Reddy along with teachers offered prayers to Goddess Gauri as part of the celebrations and educated the students about the importance of Bathukamma festivities in the Telangana region. She said that the Bathukamma would be celebrated for nine days. The students and teachers in their best attire participating in the celebrations by dancing and singing around the colourful Bathukammas.
