Arvintree students celebrate Bathukamma festivities with gaiety
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 12, 2023: Girl students of Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony, Karimnagar town, celebrated the Bathukamma (floral festival) of Telangana state, with pomp and gaiety on their school campus on Thursday.
Since morning, the students were busy making colourful Bathukammas by arranging flowers in a conical shape along with their teachers. As part of the celebrations, the school ambience was also colourfully decorated with flowers and mango leaves. Besides, the floor was painted colourfully with rangolies and designs.
School Director B Vijaya Lakshmi along with the teachers offered prayers to Goddess Gauri. Later, she explained the importance of nine-day Bathukamma festival and its traditions. The students donning their best attire participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm and danced around the Bathukammas by singing songs hailing Goddess Gauri. Coordinators Rammohan Rao, Saroja and Deepika and other teachers were also present.
