Alphores e-techno school students celebrate clean and green Diwali

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 09, 2023: Alphores e-techno school in Kothapalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar celebrated clean and green Diwali with religious zeal on Thursday, a head of the ensuing festival.

The celebrations were launched by Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy by offering prayers to Sri Mahalakshmi. The day commenced with a special morning assembly wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of festival and the relevance of eco-friendly celebrations.

The school wore a festive look with decorated lamps, rangolies adorning the corridors of the campus. On this occasion, the students presented colourful cultural programmes depicting epic Ramayana, Sri Krishnarjuna yudham, skit on Diwali etc. They also vowed to protect the environment from pollution by celebrating green and clean Diwali by only lighting the lamps.

Alphores schools chairman Narender Reddy explained how the lighting of fireworks such as crackers were causing noise and air pollution and affecting the ecology including the birds and animals. Offering warm wishes to both staff and students, he reiterated that students should celebrate Diwali in its purest form by lighting earthen lamps and sharing with less fortunate.

He apprised the students to act responsibly and be sensitive towards the essence of their environment and conveyed the message of a pollution-free, clean and safe Diwali. He also informed the students to celebrate cracker-free Diwali and enjoy the festival by savouring sweets, chocolates, spending time with families, doing puja and lighting up lamps and flower decorations.
