KARIMNAGAR: Collector RV Karnan has instructed the authorities to make all arrangements for the smooth conduct of Intermediate board examinations, which would be held from May 6 to 24 from 9 am to 12 noon.
The exams would be conducted in 51 centres and a total of 30,927 students would write their exams including 14,804 first year students and 16,123 second year students. No student would be allowed to enter the examination centre after 9 am.
At a review meeting with the officials here on Monday, the Collector instructed the authorities to make elaborate arrangements such as dual-desks, lighting arrangements, adequate drinking water, first-aid medical camps with ORS stocks, uninterrupted power supply at all centres for the benefit of students to write examinations conveniently.
To check malpractices, the authorities have constituted flying squads and sitting quads. The Collector informed the RTC authorities to operate special buses with display boards of Intermediate exams for the benefit of students. The police were informed to provide adequate security for the shifting of the question papers and at the examination centres. They were also informed to impose section 144 in front of the centre.
DIO T Rajya Lakshmi, DEO Janardhan Rao, DMHO Dr Juveria, district Fire officer Venkanna, municipal commissioner Seva Islavath and others were also present.
