Whitener addicts clash and stabs a person in Karimnagar town
KARIMNAGAR: Two whitener addicts have reportedly stabbed to death another drug addict over a scuffle in the Arts college grounds in the heart of Karimnagar town on Sunday night (October 24, 2022).
Police sources said the whitener addicts Shiva Kumar (35), Nagaraju and Irfan were sniffing the whitener and other substances and were getting intoxicated. In an inebriated condition, they ensued into an argument. In a fit of anger, Nagaraju and Irfan whipped out the knives concealed with them and stabbed Shiva Kumar and escaped from the spot.
The locals who noticed the sounds alerted the 108 ambulance, which rushed to the grounds and shifted the victim to the government hospital where breathed his last. The police have registered a case and investigating. Further details are awaited.
Of late, the youth inhaling the whitener and substance abuse had become a major cause of concern in Karimnagar town. With the police keeping a check on the illegal ‘ganja’ smuggling, the youth were getting addicted to the easily available whitener (eraser ink) at the stationeries to get intoxicated.
