Stephen Ravindra is new Cyberabad Commissioner of Police
KARIMNAGAR: In a surprise move, the Telangana state’s tough officer Dr VC Sajjanar, who is also Cyberabad Police Commissioner, was transferred and posted as the TSRTC managing director on Wednesday.
M Stephen Ravindra, the IGP West zone Hyderabad has been posted as the new Cyberabad Commissioner of Police. Mr Ravindra worked in Karimnagar district as SP from June 25, 2009 to July 30, 2009 for a brief stint before going to Hyderabad as DCP East zone. He eradicated the extremism when he was SP of Warangal district and waged a war against the drugs in Hyderabad city as DCP West zone.
VC Sajjanar was shot into fame with the encounter of three accused persons in the acid attack of two engineering girls in Warangal town in the year 2008 when he was SP of the district. Freshly, he was well appreciated for the encounter of four accused persons involved in a gang rape Disha case in Cyberabad police station limits in the year 2019. He belonged to 1996 batch IPS and was promoted as Additional DGP on March 11, 2021.
