Tainted ASI Mohan Reddy dismissed from service
Lok Satta Srinivas crusaded against the illegal finance business of ASI
KARIMNAGAR: Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana has dismissed the tainted Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police B Mohan Reddy from service on the charges of running an illegal finance business and on charges of being arrested on a property disproportionate case.
According to an official release here on December 1, 2022, the police officials, who have conducted an inquiry have found that the tainted ASI along with his associates indulged in illegal money lending business at an exorbitant rate of interest, land grabbing by deceitfully, forcibly and underhand methods by threatening the victims. The ASI was also responsible for the suicide of an educationist R Prasada Rao in Karimnagar town.
Following the proving of charges against Mohan Reddy, the CP announced the dismissal from service. Jagtial SP Sindhu Sharma, who was appointed as Enquiry officer, conducted the inquiry against the ASI, duly examining the witnesses and marking exhibits documents and submitted her findings holding the charges as ‘Proved’ against him.
