Suspecting sorcery, three persons hacked to death in Jagtial

JAGTIAL: In a bizarre incident, three persons belonging to a family were reportedly hacked to death allegedly suspecting sorcery in Taraka Rama nagar on the outskirts of Jagtial town on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Jagannatham Nageshwara Rao (53) his sons Rambabu (30) and Ramesh (20). The victims were attacked by the unidentified gang with swords and knives.

Police sources said that the Erukala community people usually conduct monthly meetings on the 20th of every month. Accordingly, they convened a meeting in their locality. In perfect planning, the unidentified persons had also attended the meeting and attacked Nageshwara Rao and his son Rambabu with swords and knives killing them on the spot and Ramesh succumbed to the injuries on his way to the hospital. Another son had escaped from the spot.

Superintendent of Police Sindhu Sharma, DSP R Prakash visited the spot and pressed into service special police teams to nab the accused. Mild tension is prevailing in the locality following the triple murder.
