Stalker kills a teenage girl for rejecting his proposal

PEDDAPALLI: In a shocking incident, a teenage girl was reportedly killed by slitting her throat in her house in KK Nagar locality at Eight Incline colony area in Godavarikhani coal belt by a tractor driver who had been stalking her for over a year.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening when the girl was alone in her house as her mother went out to work as labourer to eke out a living. She lost her father when she was young.
Reports reaching here said that the tractor driver Chatla Raju had been stalking her since long. The accused proposed her several times but the girl had rejected his proposal. He was also warned by the locals to mend his ways and not to disturb the girl. Irked over this, he developed personal grudge against the girl and entered into her house when she was alone and slit her throat with a knife.
When a person visited her house on some work, he noticed her lying in a pool of blood and alerted the locals and the police. Peddapalli DCP P Ravinder, Godavarikhani ACP Giri Prasad, CI Srinivas and others rushed to the spot and launched the investigation by constituting special police teams. It is learnt the accused was reportedly nabbed by the police and interrogating.
