Ramagundam Commissionerate police directives to follow Covid-19 norms during New Year celebrations

PEDDAPALLI: The Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police had imposed strict restrictions during the New Year celebrations and warned the people of penal action if they fail to adhere to Covid-19 norms.
Following the instructions of the state government, the police had banned rallies, public meetings and mass gatherings in any part of the Commissionerate limits till January 2, 2022.
Talking to newsmen here today, Sultanabad Inspector Indrasena Reddy informed the people to celebrate the New Year in the houses and not to come onto the roads and spread the deadly virus. He warned the youth of stern action if they resort to rash and negligent driving and come on to the roads on the pretext of New Year celebrations. He said that they would barricade on the state highway of Rajiv Rahadhari and other parts of the Circle police station to reduce accidents.
Stating that the police would launch intensive drive against drunken driving on December 31 evening onwards, he said that the police would keep strict surveillance in entire Commissionerate limits by intensifying the patrolling. He appealed to the youth to spend the New Year with their family members and not to resort to rash and negligent driving. Sultanabad SI Upender Rao was also present.
