Police impose CrPC 144 section at TSPSC Group-I prelims examination centres in Karimnagar
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 08, 2023: In the wake of possible obstructions to TSPSC Group-I preliminary examinations scheduled to be conducted on June 11 demanding the postponement of the examinations, the Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police imposed CrPC section 144 at all the examination centres in various parts of Karimnagar town on Sunday (June 11).
In a press release here on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police L Subbarayudu said that the prohibitory orders would be imposed at all the 34 examination centres at 20 locations covering Karimnagar one town, Two town and Three town, Kothapalli and LMD police station limits. He said that the some disgruntled elements were planning to indulge in violent acts in order to cause breach of peace and create law and order problem and added that they banned the conduct of rallies, dharnas, processions, meetings etc in entire Karimnagar district from 6 am to 6 pm on June 11.
He said that the rallies, processions meetings would be allowed only after taking prior permission of the police. Stating that the TSPSC Group-I prelims would be conducted from 10.30 am to 1 pm on June 11, he warned the public of stern action if they violate the prohibitory orders.
