Missing girl traced and handed over to parents in Nizamabad

NIZAMABAD: A three-year-old girl, who was found missing from the Nizamabad town was traced in Maharashtra state and handed over to her parents in Nizamabad town on Sunday night.

Police said that the three-year-old girl was found missing from a shopping mall in Nizamabad town on October 8. Following the complaint, the police have launched an investigation and found that the girl was shifted by a woman in an autorickshaw after seeing the CCTV camera footage. Accordingly, Commissioner of Police Kartikeya had constituted special teams and widely circulated the pictures of the girl in social media.

After seeing the girl’s picture in social media, a local Dhyanish Kureshi had noticed the girl in Narsi village of Biloli district in Nanded region of Maharashtra state and alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and rescued the girl. On Sunday night, the Commissioner of Police had handed over the girl to her parents and gave some toys to her.

The CP had appreciated Nizamabad One town inspector Anjaneyulu and woman ASI Seetharamamma for the detection of the case. The police have launched an investigation to nab the accused who had reportedly kidnapped the girl.
