Mild tension prevailed in the Ramagundam coal belt with Gujarat ATS police arresting two suspects
PEDDAPALLI, JUNE 27, 2023: In a shocking development, the Anti-Terrorists Squad (ATS) police of Gujarat state have arrested two suspects from the Srinagar colony in Godavarikhani on Tuesday evening.
Reliable sources said that the ATS police have arrested a software trainer Mohammad Javed (46) and his daughter Khateeja (20), who had earlier resided at a locality near Golkonda fort in Hyderabad and shifted to Ramagundam coal belt area four days back for ‘shelter’. The Gujarat ATS police have informed the Godavarikhani police about the arrest of the suspected persons who were reportedly planning to spread terror organization’s ideology.
There was no clarity on which terror organization the father and daughter duo were supporting or aiding, the police sources said and added that they would be probing whether these suspects were providing technical assistance to the terrorist organizations or any other support. The accused persons were shifted to Hyderabad ATS office along with Circle Inspector rank officer from the district, the sources maintained.
