Lake police rescue youth trying to commit suicide

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar Lake outpost police have rescued a youth who wanted to commit suicide by jumping into the waters of the Lower Manair Dam (LMD) reservoir in Karimnagar town on Friday.
Police sources said that the 28-year-old youth from Kattarampur locality in Karimnagar had incurred huge losses and facing a financial crisis. He entered the reservoir to commit suicide in an inebriated condition. The patrolling police noticed him and rushed to the spot and rescued him.
Later, he was counselled by the Lake Outpost SI Venkat Reddy and handed over to the family members.
