Lake police rescue auto-driver trying to commit suicide at LMD reservoir

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar Lake outpost police have rescued a person, who allegedly wanted to commit suicide by jumping into the Lower Manair Dam reservoir on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Tuesday.
According to police, a 33-year-old auto-driver residing in Subhashnagar of Karimnagar town was having some family disputes and was mentally disturbed. Unable to bear the mental agony, he had decided to commit suicide and arrived at the LMD reservoir in his auto.
As he was entering into the waters, the Lake outpost police noticed patrolling on the dam noticed him and rushed to the spot and rescued him and shifted to the outpost. The Lake outpost SI Venkat Reddy summoned his family members including his wife, two children and mother and counselled them and sent them back home.
