Karimnagar police measures to check accidents by identifying vulnerable spots on all roads

KARIMNAGAR: Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana has initiated several measures to check accidents at all vulnerable spots such as open wells along the roads and identification of black spots on the Rajiv rahadhari, the state highway number 1.

Following the series of accidents wherein the vehicles plunged into open wells killing several victims, the Commissioner of Police had instructed the concerned police at various police stations limits to erect signboards and railings and also barricades at the open wells in coordination with the R&B officials.  Accordingly, the CP had personally inspected various open wells along with the panchayat raj, R&B and Rajiv rahadhari roads in Karimnagar district falling under Chigurumamidi and LMD police station limits on Monday.

Speaking on this occasion, the CP said that they were taking all measures to reduce the accidents on all the roads and accordingly identifying the black spots and vulnerable spots and taking necessary measures to prevent accidents. He said that they were planning to install CCTV cameras all along the state highways and also other roads in the district to monitor the movement of vehicles and check other crimes.

He said that they would deal firmly against the sand mafia and the persons indulging in the illegal business of transporting the PDS rice to other states. He said that they would involve the local bodies’ representatives and others to check accidents and other crimes in the rural areas. LMD inspector Sashidhar Reddy , SIs Pramod Reddy, Madhukar Reddy, sarpanch Jitender Reddy, Ravula Ramesh and others were also present.
