Inter-state shutter-lifting gang arrested

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police have arrested four inter-state shutter-lifting gang members and seized two two-wheelers, five cellular phones and Rs 10,000 cash from their possession.
Disclosing this to newsmen here on Wednesday, Karimnagar Rural ACP J Vijayasaradhi said that they had arrested four persons of the shutter-lifting gang members led by Simma Shankar (44) of Guntur in AP state, Ulleda Mallesham (33) of Chittoor in AP state, Talari Naveen Kumar (30) from Anantapur in AP and Gunasri Gupta (36) from Uttar Pradesh. The gang was involved in several offences in AP, Maharashtra and Karnataka states.
The accused persons conduct burglaries of the locked shops and business establishments located on the highways and escaped with only cash. Accordingly, the gang had been involved in an offence at LMD police station limits by stealing cash from a fertilizer shop and a supermarket in the first week of July.
Following the directions of Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy, the special team lead by Additional DCP Chandramohan was formed to nab the accused persons. The special teams have nabbed the accused persons at Renukunta toll plaza. CCS ACP K Srinivas, Thimmapur CI Shashidhar Reddy, CCS inspector V Ravi, Cyber Forensic lab inspector V Murali, LMD SI Pramod Reddy and others were also present.
