Three were killed including two women when the auto was hit by an unidentified vehicle


WARANGAL:  Five persons were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in separate road accidents in Warangal district on Sunday (May22).

In a freak mishap, a car plunged from the fly-over at Hunter road on the Warangal-Khammam bypass road killing one person instantaneously and another succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment in the MGM hospital.

The victims were identified as government employee Saraiah (42) and his wife Sujatha. They were coming from Khammam district to Warangal when the mishap occurred after hitting a car in the opposite direction. The condition of two others who sustained serious injuries is stated to be critical.

In another incident, three persons including two women were killed when the autorickshaw they were travelling was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Bollikunta in Khila Warangal mandal. Two women passengers and auto driver Bablu died on the spot. With the impact of the accident, the autorickshaw was broken into two pieces. The bodies were strewn on the road till the arrival of the police following the delay in the arrival of an ambulance. The bodies were shifted to Warangal MGM hospital for post-mortem.
