KARIMNAGAR: Apollo Reach hospital Cardiologist Dr Akula Vidyasagar has stressed on the need to follow the principles of eating healthy and nutritious food and daily exercises to keep the heart healthy and strong to protect from the cardio vascular diseases (CVD).
The Apollo Reach had organized an health awareness programme on the occasion of World heart day in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vidyasagar informed the people to keep in control the diabetes and hyper tension by taking medicines regularly. He also advised the people to check obesity and maintain proper weight to avoid the spread of diseases.
On this occasion, he clarified various questions posed by the participants about the heart health, medications, tests etc. He informed the people to avoid stress and cut down drinking alcohol and smoking. Hospital administrator Dr Pramod Gupta, medical superintendent Dr Subba Reddy and others were also present. Later, the hospital authorities distributed fruits to the inmates of the hospital.
